Become a missionary: Our goal

By Paula T. Grisham

Back when we were much younger, we were always asked by our teacher or by our very own parents on what we want to become when we finally grow up. Some of us wanted to become a medical doctor, a teacher, a nurse, a police officer or some other jobs that we thought were cool back when we were kids. But only some of us would answer that we desire to become a missionary. Believe it or not, only a few planned to become messengers of God.

Become A Missionary: What's The Price?

Most people constantly think of other means of making income. Well, in this moment in which recession is quite an encumbrance to everyone, it's only natural that we all look for jobs wherein we could acquire a lot of money. That is certainly the reason why many people think that being a missionary isn't a good career to apply to. But in truth, it is. Yes, missionaries don't possess that high paying salaries compared to other jobs. But what makes a missionary life worthwhile isn't the value of earning money but the price of preaching the word of God to other people. To enable them embrace salvation as we help all these folks know God. We do not aim for earthly needs but we aim for something much greater than that. We strive for the promise of endless life in heaven.

Is it really true? Uncertainties fill the minds of many people. It can't be helped since we're only human beings. But the bible clearly states that for every single good action that we do, we're offered a seat to salvation in heaven.

Become A Missionary: How Could You Refuse?

The devil does not want humans to be saved. That is certainly the reason why he will constantly attempt to cease the messengers from preaching what must be thought to everyone. Being a missionary is really tough. You will come across many dilemmas from all directions. Many people won't believe you. People will not listen to you and even take you for granted. But no matter what the circumstances are, you must push forward when you become a missionary. Keep your trust to God as He will never leave you nor forsake you, and that's His promise.
