I think it's a great program, with solid concepts. It almost feels like it's been programmed in (god forbid) Visual Basic or something.

They are too complex and just don't provide the "in your face" numbers that YNAB Pro does. The forum community on his website is also pretty active and questions are answered pretty immediately.

His concepts are not new or unique, but they make sense and he backs it all up with a very user-friendly program. I have to admit that I was a little gun shy about purchasing this software, but it was the absolute best money I have ever spent.

However, implementing this knowledge is where I get lazy. I purchased YNAB Pro a week or two ago in order to finally get our finances back in order and figure out where our money was going.

I've used several budgeting tools before and I always get bored with them. For some reason, this YNAB made it more fun for me.

Importing data is also very weak. If you have all of your banking in one account, and have one credit card, it might work for you. Keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing what's in the works next. Who plans for the rainy days that are sure to come and mess up whatever budget you have set up" YNAB is a program for proactive budgeting. I did not need to duplicate the financial information that was kept elsewhere, such as my 401(k) and other financial investments. I have had it a day now and so far I like it. Within seconds of firing up YNAB for the first time, my eyes grew wide and a smile came across my face. I knew that YNAB was exactly what I had been looking for. I have been using YNAB so long I can't imagine life without it. Honestly, it took a while to really start budgeting like I should.

You could use his rules and do your own budget in excel, but who really has that kind of time" And YNAB-Pro comes equipped with more features than your technically savvy husband could create on two pots of coffee.
