Facebook is the most popular way to keep in touch with friends and relatives around the world. One of the most common questions users ask is how do you make a fan page on Facebook? I'm going to teach you how and it's so easy to do.



Have you noticed on tv lately that companies are sending consumers to fan pages instead of websites? My how the times have changed. Fan pages are the hottest trend in the industry right now.

I highly recommend looking at other peoples pages first before you make a fan page on Facebook so that you can see what you'd like yours to look.

The first step to take is to go to Google and type in "fan page." On the search results you'll see a site that says "Create a Page." Click on that website.

On the next page you need to determine what category that you want to your page to be under.

Now it's time to choose a name. Make sure that you choose your name wisely because you can't ever change it. I know it totally stinks but what can you do. That's why you want to choose your name wisely from the start.

The only way to change your name is to create a new page and you'll lose any existing fans that you have by doing this.

After you've chosen your name check off the Facebook terms and conditions tab and click "Create Official Page."

Now you'll need to login to your Facebook account. If you don't have one already then you'll need to create one.

Step 1: Upload a photo. Make sure that you choose a photo that's clear, professional, and portrays a good image of yourself or business. You only get one chance to make a first impression.

Step 2: Invite your friends. If you have an account already then you can start inviting friends to your page.

*Facebook will suspend your account if they see too much activity at one time, so it's important to add friends at a moderate pace.

Step 3: You can import an email or contact list and invite them to become your fan.

Step 4: Write Status Updates. Remember to keep your updates fresh and interesting. If you're promoting a business then it's important to keep a healthy balance between business and personal posts.

Step 5: Add a "like" box to your website or blog.

If you want to get a lot of fans then it's important to promote your fan page in as many places as possible.

Step 6: Set up your mobile phone. This is where you can set up your cell phone to receive status updates and upload photos.

That just about does it folks. You now know how to make a fan page on Facebook. Now the key is to get a ton of fans. This is where you need to get creative and proactive and get your fan page in front of as many people as possible.
