Should TVI Express Be Shut Down?

By Tom Hicks

TVI Express are based in London, UK (apparently).

They started up in January 2009 and what drew me to write a TVI Express review was the incredible income claims being made by distributors. Whilst scouring through their information I couldn't help but think 'What is the product being sold' Anytime this happens alarm bells go off in my head and I find myself asking 'Is this a Ponzi scheme?'.

After reading the company website and doing my own further research the only 'product' that I can relate to this opportunity is a 5/6 night hotel accommodation voucher which you get when you sign up for $250 and the promise of access to 'future holiday & vacation deals'

My biggest issue with this company is that they are not clear on what it is that they are actually selling.

How can you make money with TVI?

A distributor will make their money from getting others to sign up and pay the $250. They operate a 'rotating matrix' compensation plan and you have to 'cycle' through the 'Travel Board' first and then you will be paid $250 and given an e-voucher of $250. After this you are then upgraded to what they call the 'express board', you will then repeat this process and 'cycle' your way up to the top and when you exit receive a commission payment of $10,000. $250 will get you into the scheme MLM sponsoring MLM recruiting and you won't have to make any further payments. By recruiting 2 members into the scheme you will earn the right to get your reward payments.

So how is it possible for you to get 2 people to join for $250 each and then get paid $10,000? This is because swarms of folks are all rushing to join up under the impression that they are going to magically get rich by paying $250 and as long as this keeps happening everyone is able to keep cycling through the matrix and being 'pushed' to the top and exiting with their $10,000. TVI says that this process can be repeated over and over again.

All of these matrix type systems have a limited life. Being no products as such (other than the 'hope' of wealth) then the minute folks stop joining and paying $250, so the matrix will cease to rotate and its game over. With a traditional MLM company that becomes saturated, distributors will still make money because they are selling products of REAL VALUE to end users.

Is this a modern day Ponzi?

I rate a network marketing company by its products, I look for a quality product that provides pure value to its end user. I will always figure out if the company's product/s would sell by themselves; even if there was no comp plan involved. Its a negative answer all round as far as I am concerned.

Would you be wise to invest into TVI?

It certainly looks an attractive comp plan. I would suggest you don't try and recruit your friends into this or anyone that respects you as a person, business or personal. One final word of warning, I have read on various forums that you don't necessarily get paid cash, but in vouchers, which you can then redeem against discount holidays and travel.
