The American People Need Lower Health Care Costs

By Hillary Bean

With all this talk on the hill about health care reform it is by any miracle that people are confused as to what will or has been passed on health care reform, and how much is this "reform" costing the tax payer. All the people have ever asked for is health coverage and a lower cost for that health coverage. According to the director of the Congressional Budget Office, unfortunately, health care reform legislation will cost, over the next ten years, $115 billion more than previously thought, bringing the total cost to more than $1 trillion. Annual premiums have tripled form 2010, increasing by 9 percent, topping $15,000 for the first time ever, according to the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation and Health Research and Educational Trust.

Let's start with the diverse group of seniors, as you probably know there are many seniors with Medicare who have low incomes, however their budget might not be quite low enough to qualify for full Medicaid, but there is hope, as there are many MSPs available to help seniors, lower income people, and disabled individuals pay for some of their out-of-pocket medical expenses.

Social Service Coordinators 866-279-3764 is the leading provider in outreach and advocacy services; you can be sure they will offer eligible members a broad range of government and community assistant programs.

There are many Americans who use the Medicare insurance or would like to but have below average incomes and they should qualify for Medicaid however their incomes are not quite low enough for the parameters the individual states have set the rate at. It might seem a total loss and one should just give up, but don't because there are many MSPs available to help seniors, lower income people, and disabled individuals pay for some of their out-of-pocket medical expenses.

Another wonderful advocacy service through SSC is the Golden Touch program, which helps eligible members participate in money-saving social programs; from saving energy on the place where they live, nutrition/meals, telephone cost assistance and or transportations and property tax programs. An extensive database of over 7,500 public and private-sponsored social programs in all 50 states allows SSC advocates in a single interview to determine what programs you may qualify for.

Don't be confused or fear for tomorrow: Let policy makers continue to estimate the overall risk of health care and its expenses, let advocacy groups continue to fight for the removal of pre-existing conditions, let Obama decide how immigrants will get certain health benefits, and let Social Service Coordinators help you qualify today for the benefits you deserve and can use today.
