Airport Parking In and Around Tucson International Airport

One frequent headache for passengers traveling out of town by plane is airport parking, especially if they arrive on the last minute. On one hand, you have a plane to catch. On the other, you won't be able to find a good place to park your car.

If you find yourself in such a situation, you pretty much don't have any other option but to park your car in parking lots offered extremely high prices in or near the airport. In addition, you run the risk of leaving your car too far to the terminals.

If you are going to travel from the Tucson International Airport and you want to avoid all these inconveniences regarding airport parking, you need to get to know the parking options in and around the Tucson International Airport.

Tucson International Airport (TIA) offers extensive parking options, both immediately on premises and in the nearby vicinity. Choosing the right parking company and leaving your car in the right hand can make your travel experience a lot easier and more enjoyable.

The airport itself offers a large parking garage on premises for customers and visitors. Entrance to the parking garage: enter at Tucson Boulevard, follow Ticketing/Upper Roadway past Terminal's main entry, turn right on Airport Drive and follow signs around Garage to entrance.

As of March, 2012, fee for parking in the airport garage is $9 a day.

The Economy lots, especially uncovered lots, located at Tucson Blvd. and Corona Road just outside, can save you a lot of money. The uncovered parking rate for economy lot is $4 a day, and $5 for covered parking.

However, there is one thing to mind. A lower price comes with a higher density of vehicles and a certain degree of risks. It is important to understand these risks as you make your decision on where to park your car for the duration of your trip.

Besides the parking garage the airport offers and the economy lots just outside, there is also a variety of off-site parking lots surrounding the Tucson International Airport.

Most of these parking lots are located on the Tucson Boulevard near the airport entrance. Most of them provide covered parking service and have free shuttles to the airport around the clock.

Those parking lots in the airport vicinity include Fast Park & Relax where the parking rate is $4.96 per day, and Quick Park Quick Shuttle with a daily parking rate of $3.59.

Parking Express could be another good choice. The parking rate there is as low as $2.88 per day, plus free shuttle and car cover service. In addition, they offer a variety of standard auto services such as car wash, oil change and car repairing.

Parking Express has two locations. One is 6610 S. Tucson Blvd, and the other is 6360 S. Tucson Blvd. Both are near the Tucson International Airport.

Choosing a reliable parking company can make things quick and easy for you. And you can travel out of town without the headache of struggling with airport parking in Tucson.
