Beware New Item - Hot Yoga Mat Review

After going through several "ECO" mats, I have come to the realization that it is better to own a mat that will last forever than to continually waste precious resources on mats that end up in the landfill after several months. Look no further for a great mat. But, with those products, I always had problems with buckling and the mat becoming slick once I started sweating. I am very glad that I stepped-up and bought this mat.

It gives just the right amount - enough to be extremely comfortable but not too much avoiding slippage. It's a little more money than others but it will last. You'll feel the difference. The extra thickness feels delicious and is so comfortable.

If I accidentally lift it with my foot while moving around, it immediately settles back flat on the floor. The biggest and the most annoying negative feature is how much it slips. Definitely feels solid, manly, and protects you from the floor. One drawback, mine is still slippery after three washes and probably 20 classes. When you first use it there may be a slight slip from the film, but the more you use it the better the traction that you get. It always lays flat and does not bunch up like other mats will.

I have not tried the mat since I tried the sea salt treatment....we shall see. However, amazon quickly shipped the product to me...I believe I received it within 2 days!

When I go to class, I don't want to think about my mat. This one allows you to focus on your movement and breath, not on how much your mat is moving or isn't giving you enough cushion or support. As for the size...I love it. I am 5'9" and I like a deep Warrior pose - with this mat, I don't have to worry about going over the edge.

I purchased this mat, along with the Manduka BlackMatPRO 85-Inch Yoga and Pilates Mat and Manduka Large Mat Sack for our at-home yoga practice, and to use with other fitness workouts, like P90X. I should also point out that I have a very active dog who loves to join us while we work out, whether we are doing Plyometrics or yoga.

I would never buy again nor would I recommend it. The order for the yoga/exercise mat was delivered in a timely manner and the mat is exactly what was needed in thickness and make. It doesn't smell either. My hands and feet sweat a lot and this mat holds me in place.

It made my entire bedroom smell like rubber for several days. After the smell subsided and I began to use the mat, I realized quickly how important it was to have a sticky mat. Even if the heaviness were to bother me, I can't see myself leaving it at home to practice on one of the community mats at my studio. I've already become spoiled by how firm and sticky it is compared to other mats.
